MIZPAH MANOR AND CHAPEL

A Historic Christian Wedding Chapel — Washington, NC since 1929

1110 N Market Street | Washington, North Carolina

Mizpah Chapel has been a place of Christian worship and ceremony in Washington, North Carolina since 1929. For nearly a century, couples from across eastern North Carolina — Washington, Greenville, New Bern, Bath, Belhaven, Beaufort, and beyond — have exchanged vows beneath these timbers, and they still do today.

Lovingly restored in 2022, the chapel and its adjoining manor continue the work they were built for: gathering people in worship, in the study of Scripture, and in the marriage covenant. We host weekly Bible study, prepare couples for Christian marriage, and welcome wedding parties into the manor as part of the chapel’s longstanding ministry of hospitality.

The doors that opened in 1929 are still open. The work hasn’t changed.

Where faith, family, and hospitality meet…

MIZPAH MANOR AND CHAPEL

A working chapel where time stands still beneath a canopy of oaks. Mizpah has hosted Christian covenant ceremonies since 1929, and we continue to welcome couples from across eastern North Carolina into the unbroken thread of marriages made here.
